Some history
Aridelles come from the Tarentaise valley. The name of the valley comes from the old Latin name for Moûtiers, called Darantasia in the 5th century. Originally agricultural, then industrial, this valley became focused on summer and thermal tourism in the 19th century. In the 20th century it became the biggest winter sports area with the highest concentration of slopes in the world.
